WOW, well that's us owned the shop for nearly three years now and its been a rollercoaster of highs and not so highs. We have not had to change much to keep the shop well stocked with the best baits and tackle in the SW of Scotland but at the same time we have tried to introduce new ranges as thing progress in the sport. New suppliers come and go but we now use several new companies. With baits coming in from "Andy's baits", " Wrigglers baits" and "JSH sea baits" for frozen sea and predator baits plus garden worms and maggots for the course anglers we try and cover things as best we can. new displays are gradually being introduced for the walls to make it easier for us and you to find things and a large range of new and used rods n reels ever changing as well its hard to keep on top of things but i have my boss " June" to thank for helping me out and nagging me lots!!
The boats are busy with bookings and the shore fishing is going well with lots of good reports coming in still.
The local Lochs and rivers are back to fishing well with plenty of water all round, the local clubs waters were recently stocked with trout and the pike fishing is really starting to pick up pace.
The sea comps have been well attended from the MOGSAF events run all year to the Loch Ryan Open and the "Clash" showcasing the regions amazing fishing from shore and boat.
Looking forward to a great winters fishing from both boat and shore.
tight lines and blue skies

Hello Steve and June...
My wife and I are driving up from Wiltshire for a 2-week stay (end April/beginning May '26) on the Corsewall Estate. I'm well retired now and looking forward to returning to my roots... I attended junior school in Kirkcolm for 5 years whilst my Dad served for 5 years on the Sunderland Flying Boats at RAF Wig Bay in the mid-1950's. I've done a lot of fly fishing over the years, but completely new to beach-casting. I'm hoping to get my feet wet shore-fishing from "The Wig", and also maybe do some fresh-water fly fishing. I'll definitely drop-by at your shop while we're up there. Any advice on locations and tackle would be much appreciated. E.G...…
